Rock Garden

Rock Garden of Chandigarh is the real pride of the city. It has created by the wonderful artist Padam Shri Naka Chand.Prepared from the waste material the Rock Garden has wonderful artifacts depicting the community life of this and other areas of Chandigarh. It has also an open air theatre where different artists stage their plays and folk dance. Thousands of visitors come to this site. This wonderful site was commemorated as a Indian Stamp in 1983.It also has many waterfalls and the intricate passages give a feeling of wonder. It has inaugurated as a public monument in 1976.It has an area of 12acres.It has also a dedication day memorial in inaugurated in July 7, 1988.
