Sukhna Lake

Sukhna Lake is the most charming place in Chandigarh. Right since, 1958 this Lake has added to the beauty of the city beautiful. Over the years area around Sukhna Lake has been renovated. Now it has got a Lake club, a cafeteria, a bar and a swimming pool. People throng here for boating and rafting. Many birds from Siberia come here during winter season. Now even important festivals are celebrated here. On Sundays there is also a military band which adds to the ambience of the area. The soft instrumental music during evening is very pleasing to the tourist.
