Chattbir Zoo is a star attraction near Chandigarh. It is host to some of the wonderful animals. Some animals are kept in an open area and the visitors move around in a gazed vehicle to see those animals, especially the Royal Bengal Tiger. Animals are kept in a natural habitat. There are about 950 animals and birds belonging to about 85 species. Many families come here for picnic. The place is about 17kms from Chandigarh another advantage of visiting this place is that children and students can have a first hand experience about flora and fauna of the area.the Zoo is open on six days and is close only on Mondays. Timing to visits the Zoo 9:A.M.to 5:A.M.
